The eye of the god Horus (left) was the combination of a human eye with the eye of a falcon. Its individual parts were used to depict the fractions 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 (right).
Like all other numeral pictographs, the eye parts faced the beginning of the line. This example shows them in a line that is read from right to left.
