This calculator determines the Coriolis frequency ("Coriolis parameter") for a given latitude. The convention is that north latitudes are positive, south latitudes are negative.
Calculation based on f = 2 ω sin(φ) with
ω = 2π/(24 hours) the angular velocity of the earth around its axis and φ the latitude.
