ECH-61 Mooring, EcOHAB 2000
PhOG, University of Maine
Mooring Information:
- Deployed: 7 April 2000 at 2156 UTC by
R/V ENDEAVOR
- Latitude: 44° 06.42´N
- Longitude: 68° 06.00´W
- Depth: 96 m
- Light List: D
- Recovered: 14 August 2000 by
R/V CAPE HATTERAS
- Comments: Connection between doppler and data logger failed between
20-22 April 2000 and 27 April - 2 May 2000 due to a suspected problem with
the cable between the doppler and the data logger. Communications with the buoy
were lost in early July 2000.
Instruments:
- 300kHz RDI Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler S/N 533 (reporting in real-time), 4-meter bins
- Seabird SBE-1603 Seacats at 10 m (S/N 1922), and 40 m (S/N 1924).
Data are recorded internally and are available after the mooring is recoverd.
Data Plots (Note: Preliminary Only!):
- Measured Currents: hourly averaged and rotated to true north, 4-meter bins from
10 meters to 90 meters
- Residual Currents: Measured currents which are low-passed filtered to remove tidal currents, 4 meter bins from
10 meters to 90 meters.
- Seacat Temperature, Salinity, Sigma-Theta Plots: Seacat data which are low-passed
filtered to remove tidal effects at 10m and 40 mdepths.
